Mary Ann Weigenant (King), of Red Wing, died Nov. 7, 2019 with family at her side. Born 8/31/1928 in Mankato, MN. She graduated from Good Council HS, St. Catherine University and began her career as a Registered Nurse. Her interests took her into city and federal government roles, serving on city council and as HUD director. She spearheaded and managed Jordan Towers to Red Wing. She enjoyed gourmet cooking and her apple pies were legendary. She has joined her husband of 69 years who passed 10/17/2019. She is survived by 4 children: Mark (Sue) of Hager City, WI, Anne (Brian) Nelson of Coon Rapids, Paul (Debbie) of Denton, TX, Jane (Charles) Pardi of Baton Rouge, LA; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grand-children and 1 great-great grandchild. Mass of resurrection will be 10 a.m. Wed., Nov. 13 at the church of St. Joseph, Red Wing. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Tues., Nov. 12, at Mahn Family Funeral Home Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and 1 hr. prior to service. Burial will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
