Michael Dennis Deobald

June 7, 1945 — October 10, 2017

Michael Dennis Deobald, age 72, of Lake City, passed away October 10, 2017 surrounded by his family and loved ones at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. He was born June 7, 1945 in Bremerton, Washington to Clayton and Alice (Greer) Deobald.

Michael worked for over twenty years at Federal Mogul and served his country as a soldier in the United States Army. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, spending time on Lake Pepin with family and vacationing in Arizona. Michael was a great family man, husband, father and friend who gave of himself to better those whom were fortunate to have been around him; he gave of himself first and never asked for anything in return. Like everything in his life, Michael would not want to have people mourn his loss but to celebrate his life and remember the great man he was and will ever be remembered as.

Michael is survived by his wife, Diane (Ramsey) Deobald; four children, Todd Deobald, Keri Pepin, Christen Kolar, Shannon Mullen and was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brother Carl Deobald.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Margaret Traxler and his oldest son, Scott Deobald.

In true Michael fashion, the Deobald family will host a Celebration of Life on October 28, 2017, from 1 to 3 pm at the Lake City VFW. Michael's family would like to express a special THANK YOU to Gayle! Online condolences are welcome and may be written at mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
