Paul L. "PUNK" Glasby

October 15, 1947 — June 3, 2018

Paul L. "Punk" Glasby age 70, of Kenyon passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his home. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 4:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home in Zumbrota with Pastor Michael Longenecker officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday for two hours prior to the service.
Paul LeRoy Glasby was born on October 15, 1947 in Hastings, MN to Lee and Edna (nee Tanney) Glasby. He grew up near Vasa and attended Vasa School. On January 23, 1968 he entered the U.S. Army. He served in Vietnam where he earned two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star Medal. He received his honorable discharge on September 19, 1969 and returned to the Cannon Falls area. Paul was united in marriage to Victoria J. Burr on January 10, 1970 in Hastings. They lived in several communities before moving to Zumbrota in 1974. They moved to Hastings in 1988 and in 2004 they moved to Wanamingo. Paul spent most of his working life as a union laborer and retired from NSP in 1999. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trips to the casino and spending time with family and friends.
Paul is survived by his children, Jerol "JC" (Shalette) Glasby of Campbell, MN, Dennis (Valerie) Glasby of Enderlin, ND, Gina Glasby and Paula Glasby both of Zumbrota and Lucretia (Matt) Jackson of Kenyon; eighteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and siblings, Sylvia Glasby, Lucille Balster and Henry Glasby all of Red Wing.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria; parents, Lee and Edna; siblings, Gloria, Delores, Stella, Victoria, Loretta, Lorraine, Charlotte, Harry, Kevin, Ernest, Tony and Vernon.
