Robert Russell Yeary

Robert Russell Yeary, 62, of Red Wing, died Sunday, May 5, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 9, 1956, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming to David and Laverne (Hess) Yeary. He graduated from high school in Jackson Hole and then served in the US Navy from 1974-1976. He married Colleen Wilford and they later divorced. He worked as a ski patrol officer in Wyoming and for the US Postal Service in Utah. In 1998, he married Peggy Jo Slotto. They lived in Red Wing where he worked for Central Research, Red Wing Health Center and Treasure Island. He enjoyed spending time with his family, putting together model cars and was an avid Vikings fan.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Jo; one son, Cory Yeary; two step-sons, Cody Yeary and Terry Molgard; two step- daughters, Bettina Vold and Tiffaney Molgard; 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren and one brother, Dennis (Merci) Yeary and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father and one brother.

A Celebration of Life service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
