Roger Gary Radtke

June 5, 1943 — May 9, 2019

Roger Gary Radtke died May 8, 2019 at his home in Lindstrom, MN of natural causes. He was born to Christian and Adeline Radtke on June 5, 1943, on the Radtke farm near Pine Island. He graduated from Pine Island schools in 1961. He met Lucille Marie Heyes, and knew she was the one when she said she wanted to marry a farmer. They were married on June 1, 1963 in Titonka, IA. They took over the family farm and raised 4 children. They had a bit of everything, dairy, beef, pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks and even rabbits. When not milking cows, or plowing fields, Roger and Lucille enjoyed fishing. Every summer they would pack up the family and spend time at Big Sandy Lake. In 1983, they purchased their dream lake front property. Over the years they would enjoy getting away to go fishing. In 1992, Roger and Lucille moved to their farm in Mazeppa to allow Kevin to take over the family farm. Roger still helped on the farm until 2008 when they moved to their retirement home on South Center Lake in Lindstrom, MN.

He is survived by a daughter, Sandra (John) Stiles of Inver Grove Heights, MN; sons, Gary (Betsy) Radtke of Mazeppa, MN, Kevin (Michelle) Radtke of Pine Island, MN and David (Becky) Radtke of Mazeppa, MN; a brother, Larry (Bev) Radtke of Rochester, MN; sisters, Judy (Bryan) Dugstad of Danbury, WI and Diane Romo of Pine Island, MN; a brother In law, Richard (Doris) Heyes of Buffalo Center, IA; grandchildren, Andrew (Samantha) Stiles, Rochelle Stiles, Ian, Mikayla, Brooklyn and William Radtke, Gary (Jessica) Schulz, Julie Schulz; great grandchildren, Owen, Willow, Noah and Jasmine Schulz; "adopted" children Stella and Conrad Seim, and many nieces and nephews.
