Royce Gerald Lynner, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Lake City Care Center in Lake City. He was born April 13, 1939 in Red Wing to Milton and Rosella (Mann) Lynner. He attended Red Wing schools and began working at the the Red Wing Shoe Company when he was 16 years old. After nearly 25 years at "The Shoe," he began a job he loved with Mike Knopick - Knopick and Lynner Painting and Taping. He loved his work, retiring at 75. On January 21, 1967, he married Linda Dahl. They had two sons, Patrick and Aaron. He was blessed with 4 granddaughters. He loved his family and enjoyed helping his sons with their projects and attending the grandkid's activities.
Royce enjoyed bowling, softball and fishing in his younger years. Later, enjoyed gardening, canning pickles, sauerkraut and tomatoes, going to car shows and cruising with friends in his '57 Chevy. He loved woodworking and making beautiful furniture for his family and friends. He loved being around people and having a good laugh.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda; son Pat (Kristin) and their daughters; Olivia and Victoria; son, Aaron (Nicole) and their daughters, Alexa and Ashley; sister, Lavonne Sieg; brother, Darwin Lynner; brothers-in-law, Norris (Jan) Dahl and Brad Dahl; sister-in-law, Nancy (Delbert) Johnson and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Marchand; brother-in-law, Alvin Sieg and nephews, Mason Dahl and Shane Lynner.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2019 at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Red Wing with Reverend Edward Starky. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m., Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
