Sherrianne Mae Ferber

April 11, 1944 — May 18, 2018

Sherrianne M Ferber, age 74 of Mazeppa, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 18, 2018 at her residence. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Catholic Church of St. John the Evangelists with Rev. Msgr. Gerald Mahon officiating. The visitation will be on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later time.

Sherrianne Mae Williams was born on April 11, 1944 to Elwin C. and Loretta (Hofschulte) Williams in Rochester. She graduated from Lourdes High School in 1962. She married her high school sweetheart, Dale C. Ferber at St. John's Evangelical Catholic Church in Rochester on October 27, 1962. Sherri was a stay-at-home mom until her three sons were older. She joined IBM in 1969 and worked there until 1979 when their youngest son, Dana was born. She worked at the Mayo Clinic for 20 years until her retirement in 2007. Sherrie belonged to the VFW Auxiliary in Oronoco, Mazeppa and Pine Island Senior Citizens, and also supported MCCL. She belonged to Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa and took clothes and items to Mary's Place Sharing & Caring Hands in Minneapolis. She had a big heart for the needy and organized several drives to help them.

Sherrie loved flowers and being with friends and family, especially her grandchildren when they used to come for overnights and planning parties where she invited her friends and family. She also enjoyed BINGO, going to casinos and her blue Mustang convertible.

Sherrie is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Dale; she had a great love for her sons; Daniel (Chris) and Dean (Diana) both of Byron, Duey (Amy) of New Richland, and Dana of Berlin, Germany. She was blessed with eight grandchildren; seven grandsons, Jacob (Jon), Dalen, Joseph, Evan, Kellen, Nolan, Mason; granddaughter, Katherine; and brother, Charles Williams. Family was very important to her and she kept in contact with her cousins and other family members.

Sherrie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Daniel Williams; infant sister, Rita Williams; sister-in-law; Mary; brothers-in-law, Arnold (Fern) Ferber and Jim (Marlys) Ferber.
