Solomon "Tatanka Maza" Daniel Campbell, 35, died Thursday, August 1, 2019 in Bloomington, Minnesota. He was born March 3, 1984 to Julie Ann Red Cloud in Red Wing, Minnesota. He was a member of the Prairie Island Indian Community and he grew up in Red Wing area. He enjoyed four wheeling, driving cars and talking sports. He particularly liked, baseball, basketball and football. He loved taking his daughter and niece shopping. Solomon was happy to just enjoy life and make friends with the people he met along the way, no matter where they were in their walk in life.
He will be missed by many including his daughter, Sabra; grandparents, Vivian and Joe Mireau; step-siblings; Bridget Bearsaveslife, Jackie Oakie and Aleta Luna Oakie; uncles and aunt, Calvin Campbell, Audrey and Dennis Bennett; cousins Annjelica Bennett, Brian Childs, Alan Childs, Christopher Childs and Calais Lone Elk.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Julie Ann Red Cloud; step-father, Winfred Red Cloud; grandfather, Curtis Campbell, Sr.; uncle, Curtis Campbell, Jr.; aunt, Rebecca Childs; cousins, Benjamin James Bennett, Sr. and Cassie Bennett; and Sabra's mother, Jennifer Saint Marks.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at the Prairie Island Community Center with Ralph "Pat" Pacheco officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2019 until the time of the service. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
