Theressa E. Hall

March 30, 1925 — March 15, 2020

Theressa E. Hall of Montgomery, MN, formerly of Mazeppa, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020. She was born on March 30, 1925 in Oronoco, MN to Wilbur and Ella Lockman. She married John Benedict in Fort Wayne, IN in 1947 where her son Ronald was born in 1950. They later divorced. She returned home to Rochester with her son in 1956. On January 13, 1962 she married Vernie Hall. They made their home in Mazeppa where her daughter Linda was born. She worked a number of different jobs in her lifetime; butcher, cashier, photo developer, maid, and pool table assembler. When asked what she did for a living she always answered "cashier or checker".
Theressa was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Ella Lockman, husband Vernie, two brothers, seven sisters, a granddaughter Theressa and a great-grandson. She is survived by a brother Wilbur Lockman (Audrey), son Ronald Benedict (Sandy Eichelberg), daughter Linda O'Reilly (Brad Bohn), four grandchildren Samuel Benedict, Rosalyn Ablola (Wenzel), Nicholas Sibley (Elizabeth) and Megan Meincke (Tanner), three great-grandchildren Logan Ablola, Carter Meincke and Paisley Meincke, and her soon to be born great-grandson, Roman Sibley. Theressa enjoyed spending time with her family, going on Sunday drives to Wabasha to look for eagles, and feeding the birds and geese at her country home.
A private family service will be held for Theressa. Burial will be at Pleasant Prairie Dale Cemetery in rural Zumbro Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the National Eagle Center, 50 Pembrooke Ave., Wabasha, MN 55981. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
