Alison Kay Story Friedrich, age 70, of Kenyon, passed away on August 14, 2026. She was in the comfort of her home and surrounded by those she loved. Alison Kay Story was born on March 10, 1956 in Harvey, Illinois to John and Joann (Howard) Story. She was the eldest of 3 children. She was raised and educated in Omaha, Nebraska, graduating with the Burke High School class of 1974. She earned a bachelor’s degree and worked toward her Master’s while attending Argosy, Gonzaga and Colorado Northwestern University - fostering her love for psychology and special education. She had an overall thirst for knowledge and was truly a lifetime learner.
Alison was united in marriage with Paul Rahmann on May 14, 1983. Their union gave them their two sons Jonathan and Christopher. Later they were divorced. Alison raised two sons and enjoyed many things in her life. The outdoors brought her camping, boating and fishing; while indoors, the kitchen was one of her happy places- canning, baking and cooking. Alison was united in marriage with Ronald Friedrich on Alison’s 50th birthday, March 10, 2006, and they shared 20 years together. They took the opportunity to camp and travel to campgrounds near vineyards and breweries that suited each of their desires. Community service as a Red Cross blood drive coordinator and a volunteer with Three Rivers Community Action, aiding others in getting to appointments, was something she did for years. She also sewed beautifully and knitted as well. The role of Mrs. Claus to Ron’s Santa was a special thing they did together and made memories for many in the community.
Alison is survived by her husband, Ron of Kenyon; sons, Jonathan (Jamie) Rahmann of Louisville KY; and Chris (Kylie) Rahmann of Taylorsville KY; Ron’s children, Justine (Michael) Boulton of Wanamingo and Ryan (Claudia) Friedrich of Bavaria, Germany; grandchildren, Tyler (Karessa Mills) Krzeszewski, Samantha (Jason Leppert) Rahmann, Chloe (Jacob Allen) Rahmann, Olivia, Evan & Mason Rahmann; great-grandson, Ripley Krzeszewski; Ron’s grandchildren, Elizabeth & Victoria Boulton and Rorik & Amelia Friedrich; sisters, Sandra (Scott) Danitz of Highlands Ranch, CO and Cynthia (Barry Werner) Story of Lafayette, CO; cherished nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
