Betty Peterson

Elizabeth "Betty" Louise Peterson, 84, of Red Wing, died Sunday, March 11, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born July 15, 1927 in Red Wing, to Andrew and Mabel (Rundquist) Anderson and graduated from Red Wing Central High in 1946. She married Melvin Peterson on April 3, 1948 and they lived in Bay City. Betty worked for Riedell Shoe for 25 years. In 1990, Melvin died and in 1994, she moved to Red Wing. Betty enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by children, Michael (Rosemary), Patrick (Karen), Randy, Terry (Chris), Bradley (Lisa), Todd and Jan Peterson; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and brother, Donnley Anderson.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Brian Scott officiating. Burial will be at Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to service.
