We are sad to announce that Betty Lou Helen (Kehren) Veach has been called home to our Lord and Savior in Heaven on September 2, 2023, at the age of 86. She was born June 15, 1937
Betty was a passionate animal lover. She had several horses during her life ranging from morgan crosses to Thoroughbred racehorses. Betty was known to ride her little Morgan mare Penny all over the roads and hills of the Spokane valley in Washington state. She also had numerous dogs and cats over the years that she considered her soulmates. None broke her heart more than the old age loss of her Sheltie dog Magic.
Betty also looked forward to seeing the weekly pictures and videos of her only great granddaughter London Hernandez.
Betty's parents Charles and Viola Kehren moved from Minnesota to Spokane, Washington when Betty was 8 years old. Betty was heartbroken to leave Minnesota. She always wished to be able to return to her beloved Minnesota. Upon retirement Betty was able to realize that dream with the help of her Aunt Alice (Kehren) Sprick and her daughter Laurie (Sprick)Glander. Betty settled in Lake City, Minnesota after she returned and instantly felt at peace.
Betty is survived by her daughter Karen (Bates) Davis and husband Kyle Davis, granddaughter Rana Lea Floberg, great granddaughter London Hernandez, Aunts Alice (Kehren) Sprick, Jean (Kehren) Halling, Lottoe Kehren, and Margaret Nelson.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Viola Kehren, Granddaughter Chassie Corrine Floberg and her husband Collin Edward Veach.
No services are planned at this time. Online condolences in memory of Betty may be left at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
