Brenda D. Voth

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Brenda Voth of Red Wing, Minnesota on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus in Rochester, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on March 30, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Glenn and Bernice Olson. After high school, she moved to Appleton, Wisconsin, where she raised her children and was also a member of the Fox Valley Golf Club. In 1978, she met the love of her life, Donald Voth, and the two were married on July 28, 1979. They lived in Appleton until 1987, when they moved to Red Wing, Minnesota. Brenda worked at DeLeon Jewelers as well as KCUE/KWING radio. She also belonged to the Red Wing Golf Club and had been the Women’s Flight Champion in 2003.

Brenda was a very generous and loving person. She enjoyed traveling, especially on cruises with her sisters and friends, golfing, attending friends and family gatherings and spending winters in Arizona. Brenda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, who will be dearly missed.

Brenda leaves behind her loving husband, Donald Voth, of Red Wing; daughters, Lori (Josh) Stepnafski and Julie Jackson; grandchildren, Anthony (Kelly) Ross, Andrew (Nicole) Ross, Alyssa (Brandon Emerson) Ross and William and Christopher Jackson; great-grandchildren, Connor, Dillon, Joey and Oliver; sisters, Judy Johnson of Iron Mountain, MI, Gina Olson of Dale, WI and Patricia (John) Spindt of Waupaca, WI and numerous nieces and nephews and her life-long friend, Iva “Sissy” Schock.

Brenda was preceded in death by her son, Roger Schilke; her parents; her brothers, Glenn, Fred (Jeri), Wilfred (Julie), Jerry, Nick Olson, and sister, Sherry Stamatakos.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing with a celebration of life following at the Red Wing Golf Course, beginning at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to MADD, American Lung Association or Donor’s Choice.
