Carol Jean Jones

Carol Jean Jones, 56, of Welch, died Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood.  She was born January 15, 1967, in Red Wing, to Morris and Ruth (Byer) Jones and graduated from Hastings High School.  She farmed all of her life, managing the farm while her father was trucking, and she continued to manage the farm after he retired.  Carol was a good business woman and was always on the phone making business transactions.  She was a “jack of all trades” and she loved horses and fishing.

She is survived by her parents, Morris and Ruth Jones; uncle, David (Twyla) Jones; aunts, Diana Jones and Ruby Kane and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.   She was preceded in death by her aunts, Delores and Dorothy Jones and Geneve King; uncles, Donald, John (J.W.), Eugene (Gene), Leonard (Tom) and Clifford Jones; cousins, Rebecca Jones in infancy, Wesley Jones, John Jones, Janet Kane and Sam Kane.

Services are pending by the family and burial will take place at the Cross of Christ Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
