Carrick "Rick" Lampman

Carrick “Rick” Erwin Lampman, age 75, passed away at his home on June 14, 2026. He was born June 19, 1950, in Red Wing, MN to Billy Marthaler and Giles Lampman. He graduated from Red Wing High School in 1968. He married Linda Beltz on July 25, 1969. They spent 49 loving years together before her passing in 2018. Inducted into the U.S. Army Military Police in 1970, Rick served in Frankfurt, Germany, earning the National Defense Service Medal and Sharpshooter Badge. Returning home in 1972, he began a 40+ year career at Red Wing Shoe Company, known for his dedication, integrity, and quick wit.

Rick had a gift for making others laugh – whether with a perfectly timed joke, a harmless prank, or by turning ordinary moments into an adventure. His sharp wit, quick mind, and big heart kept everyone on their toes. He loved cards, novels, camping, movies, golf, bowling, sports, and most of all, time with family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Nick Lampman, Vance (Tara) Lampman, Amanda (Clint) Anway; grandchildren, Mitch (Ann), Tim, Megan (Luke), Jonathon, Jason, Landan, Parker, Carter, Alyssa, Carson (Anna) and Wyatt; great grandchildren, Oliver, Laurel, Lincoln, and Ayla; sisters, Denice (Brian) Girdeen, April (Steve) Ingalls; mother, Carol Lampman; nieces and nephews, who will miss the love, humor, banter and mischief.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life Linda; his parents; brother, Michael; sisters, Barbara and Rosa; grandson, Matthew Lampman.

A celebration of life is being planned where stories, laughter, and maybe a few good-natured roasts will be shared in Rick’s honor. Time and date for the event will be posted as soon as they are confirmed.
