Charlotte Elaine Babler, 78, of Red Wing, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at St. Crispin Living Community in Red Wing. She was born November 4, 1946, in Red Wing, to Peter and Lois (Bruns) Mallan. She graduated from high school in 1968 and was united in marriage to Gary Babler that same year. The two lived in several places prior to settling back in Red Wing and the surrounding area. Charlotte had worked for Grist Mills, Red Wing Cleaners and finally the St. James Hotel, where she worked in laundry for 17 years, retiring in 2005. Charlotte was a giving person who enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and word puzzles, watching the MN Vikings and WWE SmackDown. She loved it when people came to visit her and included a special treat—a bag of beef jerky.

She is survived by children, Kevin (Shannon) Trollen and Carol (Victor) Osmek; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and many nieces, nephews and other important people in her life who loved and cared for her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary and her sisters, Dorothy Mallan, Carol Blank and Delores Mallan.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 525 2nd Ave in Mazeppa.  Burial will take place at Belvidere Union Cemetery.
