Charlyne Kathryn Lenn

February 28, 1935 — February 23, 2026

Charlyne Kathryn Lenn passed away peacefully at home, comfortable in bed, on February 23, 2026 at the age of 90. In the days preceding her death, she was surrounded by many family and friends who loved her dearly. Charlyne Kathryn Henry was the daughter of Ronald Henry and Mary Ellen (Shanahan). She was born on February 28, 1935 in High Forest, Minnesota. She graduated from Stewartville Public Schools. It was during this time she met her childhood sweetheart. That sweetheart, Charles “Jack” John Lenn turned out to be the love of her life. They married on August 25, 1954. They later moved to Pine Island and raised their seven children. Charlyne took an immense amount of pride in her family. She was a dedicated mother, devoted wife and tireless homemaker. Her deep connection to her faith was evident in her commitment to her children, her community and her church. A compassionate and giving heart led her to spend many hours volunteering for the local food shelf, the American Legion & Auxiliary, and St. Michael’s Church. Her children were blessed to have such a selfless, loving mother. She found joy everyday and, in addition to volunteer work, filled her time with good company and hobbies. She absolutely adored her friends, playing cards & cribbage, cooking & baking (especially around the holidays), and watching Wheel of Fortune. When she became “Grandma Char”, she could be found at sporting events, plays, concerts, recitals, graduations, weddings, holidays and birthday parties - always showing up with a hug and a smile and often with homebaked goods to share.

Charlyne was blessed with a full life. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles, her infant son Christopher, her parents, her brother Don and sister Jo. She knew they were waiting for her.

She is survived by her seven children: Darsa Fiek of Pine Island, MN; Jon (Kate) Lenn of Pine Island, MN; Brian (Carol) Lenn of Rochester, MN; Terri (Rick) Schacht of Shelbyville, TN; Greg (Karen) Lenn of Little Falls, MN; Corey (Dawn) Lenn of Zumbrota, MN; Beth Hatfield of Mankato, MN; brother Ron Henry of Pine Island, MN; sister Dori Yennie of Stewartville; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Charlyne will be laid to rest her 91st birthday - Saturday February 28, 2026 in Pine Island Cemetery. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Michael’s Church in Pine Island, MN at 10:30 a.m Saturday, February 28, 2026. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 4 - 7 pm at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Mahler Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, Charlyne’s family encourages donations to St. Croix Hospice so others may access the same compassionate care Charlyne received in her final days.
