Chelsea Nicole Urich, age 41, of Hopkins passed away on December 10, 2025. She was born June 16, 1984, in Minneapolis to Fredrick Urich and Kimberly Schauls. Chelsea was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in South Minneapolis. She was a proud mother and a dedicated homemaker, she found joy in creating a nurturing environment for her children, Edgar, Mariah, and Jonathon and cherished every moment spent with them. She enjoyed spending nights watching movies and playing games that filled their home with laughter. An avid dancer, Chelsea took great pride in her heritage, participating in Pow Wows as a jingle dress dancer and fancy dress dancer. She was a proud member of the Prairie Island Indian Community. She was a true artist at heart, with a talent for drawing and beading that reflected her imaginative spirit. Her love for travel, especially warm destinations, was a testament to her adventurous nature. In her desire to continue caring for others beyond her life, Chelsea was an organ donor, leaving behind a legacy of hope and generosity. Chelsea is survived by her children, Edgar, Mariah (Santiago), and Jonathon; mother, Kimberly Schauls; her siblings, Clayton (Amy) Tix, Fredrica (Mark) Rhoades, Melanie (Ron Bau) Urich, Tracy (Brian Donner) Urich, Shawnté (Jason Aw-Yang) Urich, and Josh Bartol. She was preceded in death by Fred Urich, Rachel Schauls, and Sherry Schauls. Procession to the Prairie Island Community Center will begin 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the Tipsy Turtle. Visitation will begin when the procession arrives and will continue until the funeral starts 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the Prairie Island Community Center.
