Chris L. `Bratty` Bruce

Chris L. "Bratty" Bruce, 25 of Rush Center, Kansas died on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend, Kansas. He was born in Zumbrota on August 5, 1980 to Robert, Sr. and Kathleen (Kennedy) Bruce. Chris was a resident of Pawnee County and Rush County, Kansas since the age of six. He was a 1999 graduate of Pawnee Heights High School. He received his C.N.A. Degree in 2002 and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Rush County Memorial Hospital in La Crosse, Kansas since August of 2005. Chris is survived by his parents, Robert, Sr. and Kathleen (Kennedy) Bruce of La Crosse, Kansas; maternal grandmother, Lela Kennedy of Pine Island; brother, Robert "Bobby" Bruce of Rush Center, Kansas; four sisters, Helen Brown of Paris, California, Linda Walker of Paris, California, Tina Sisson of Bemidji, Minnesota and Betty Bergman of Kooski, Idaho and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Kennedy and paternal grandparents, William and Henrietta (Hoakimer) Bruce. Memorials may be made to the Christopher L. Bruce Memorial Fund. Graveside service will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Pine Island Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Tom Kennedy, Karyl Kennedy, Keith Kennedy, Richard Kennedy, Mike Erath and Shane Voracek. Mahn Family Funeral Home-Mahler Chapel in Pine Island is handling local arrangements.
