Christopher Corbin

June 27, 1977 — April 21, 2023

Rochester

It is with profound sadness that the family of Christopher Matthew Corbin announce the journey’s end of his adventurous life. He enjoyed his last sunset on Friday April 21, where he held his most cherished memories with his dad before he joined him on the other side.

His smile lit up every room and his stories always made anyone around laugh. Friends and family will miss him talking endlessly about history, sports, and his days at the lake or other adventures. He was a dedicated son, loving brother, and a great friend.

His passion for travel created his nomadic lifestyle where over the years he lived in Colorado, Alaska, Illinois, Arizona, North Carolina, and back home to Minnesota. Throughout each place he called home, he left everlasting memories with countless friends. Chris traveled to all 50 states with adventures ranging from sky diving, scuba diving, snowboarding, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, rock climbing, hunting, fishing, biking, and gave ‘anything a try at least once.’ He would learn everything he could about any interest or hobby, enjoyed reading, watching movies with friends, and beating anyone at cards, trivia, or board games. He would be known to travel to watch and cheer on Minnesota’s favorite teams the Wild, Twins, and Vikings. Most recently he developed a passion for golf and was even able to get a round in during Minnesota’s “false spring” this year. He was always willing to share a meal at John Hardy’s BBQ and made sure to stop there when he was in town. He will be missed dearly by his cherished dogs Memphis and Belle who walked, hiked, swam, kayaked, paddle boarded and traveled with him everywhere.

He is survived by his loving mother, Joanne Corbin; his brother Adam (Sabrina) Corbin; and his sister Kelly (Scott Allen) Corbin; and will be missed by his five nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Corbin, whom he loved dearly. He will forever be remembered by his uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends across the country.

A visitation to remember his beautiful life will be held on Friday April 28, 2023 at Mahn Family Funeral Home – Rochester Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The funeral will be held on Saturday April 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Timothy Chapel of Autumn Ridge Church in Rochester with one hour of visitation prior.

Chris will be laid to rest next to his father on Sunday April 30, 2023 at Jeffers Memorial Cemetery in Jeffers, MN.

Memorial donations may be made to Paws and Claws Humane Society of Rochester in honor of where he adopted his “pups.”
