Lake City

Danielle Leigh Seymore, 33, of Lake City, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at her home. She was born December 22, 1988 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Duane and Deown (Bates) Seymore. The family moved to Minneapolis where Danielle and her siblings went to school. After high school she got a job which took to all 50 states, selling books and magazines. She was recognized as a top seller many years.  In 2017 she returned to Minnesota and settled in the Red Wing area to raise her children near her family.

Danielle loved the water. She enjoyed boats of all kinds and was looking forward to taking her family out on a boat this summer. She loved dressing up and always wanted to make sure she looked her best. In addition to being a loving mother, she was a fantastic aunt. She was great at planning special occasions and knew how to make each event memorable for the kids. She was fierce protector of her family and would find a way to support and provide for everyone, whether it be cooking a meal, offering a ride, or just spending time with those she loved.

Danielle always said, “If you want to find me, look for me by the sea.”

She is survived by her daughters, Izabella (5) and Everly (2); mother, Deown Seymore of Red Wing; siblings, Darnell (Misty Crail-Seymore) of Kansas, Duane Seymore, Jr. of Missouri, and Diamond (Gregory Hunter) Seymore of Red Wing; 10 nieces and nephews, La’Dove Seymore-Golden, Lebron Golden, Leaneigh Golden, Michael Golden, Natalya Golden, Oliva Golden and Matthew Golden, Jasmen Seymore, Cordell Seymore and Ezrehn Minter; great-grandmother, Dorothy Wilson of Colorado; as well as many aunts, uncles, great-aunts and uncles, many cousins, other family and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Duane; 3 infant children; grandparents, Clara Seymore, Theodor Seymore, Janice Reinhardt, and John Henry Bates; great-grandfather, Keith Allen; and brother-in-law, Frankie Golden.

Memorial gathering will take place at a later date. Burial will take place in Kansas.
