Darik Scott Thompson

Darik Scott Thompson, of Wanamingo, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Darik was born to Darrell and Vickie (Amundson) Thompson on December 30, 1983 in Rochester, Minnesota. Darik was self-employed and worked in construction, primarily as a cement mason. He had an appreciation for antiques and history. Darik also particularly liked restoring vintage cars.

Darik is survived by his parents, Darrell Thompson and Vickie Thompson; brothers, Mike, Jeff, and Chad Thompson; grandparents, Ronald and Donna Amundson; nephews, Isaiah, Gage, and Myles Thompson; and nieces, Kiya and Francesca Thompson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Morley and Ethel Thompson; and his uncle, Jerry Thompson.

A memorial service in memory of Darik will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Lands Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, Minnesota with Reverend David Krinke officiating. Visitation will be held the night prior from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Larson Chapel in Zumbrota, Minnesota.
