Darlene Catherine (Curtis) Jablonske, 87, of Red Wing, died Thursday, May 22, 2025 at The Villa Memory Care. She was born April 6, 1938 in the family home in Kellogg, Minnesota to Fay and Pauline (Wilm) Curtis.
Darlene grew up in Red Wing, Minnesota and graduated from Red Wing Senior High School in 1956. On May 5, 1956 she married Ronald "Ron" Jablonske at the Little Brown Church in Iowa and the couple raised 5 children. Darlene was a caring and attentive mother and stayed at home for many years to raise the kids. She then worked at H&R Block from 1972-2018 retiring as a manager. In their retirement, Darlene and Ron traveled extensively and went on many adventures together. Darlene had a big heart and was kind and generous and never had a mean word to say to anyone. She was the Relief Society President for the church for many years. She would often hand out bags of groceries to those that needed them and would give anyone the shirt off her back if they had asked. Darlene loved her children and grandchildren. She often took the grandchildren to the store and got them whatever they needed or wanted. She also would take them to apple orchards and loved to make them chili and Halloween cookies during Halloween. Darlene was a passionate cook and baker, she especially enjoyed making mini pies for the grandkids. She also loved flowers, especially roses, and gardening. Darlene will forever be remembered by all those who knew her as she touched the hearts of many with her generous and caring spirit.
She is survived by her children; Ronald, Doreen, Craig, Tammy and Lane Jablonske; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Donald, Harold, Joyce, Beulah, George, Delores, and infant siblings, Kenny and Fern; one grandson, Michael Craig Beaulieu; and her parents.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday, June 9, 2025 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Red Wing. Visitation will be 3-5pm, Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
