Darlene Betty Klande

Darlene Betty Klande, 76, of Red Wing, died Friday, October 10, 2014 at her home. She was born on April 5, 1938 in Mankato, Minnesota to Fred and Irene (Dimmel) Voight. On August 28, 1954 she married Eugene Klande in Mora, Minnesota. They lived in Pine City for a number of years and then moved to Red Wing in 1969. Eugene died on August 5, 1988. For 13 years she worked at the Red Wing Shoe Company and then for 17 years at the Minnesota Correctional Facility until retiring. She loved quilting.
Survivors include two children, Tye (Doug) Heitman of Red Wing and Kim (Serena) Klande of North Branch; nine grandchildren, Jasen Heitman, Brian and Crystal Heitman, Stacy Heitman (Chris Schlag), Ryan Klande, Russ and Keri Pepin, Levi Klande (Amanda Cody) and Hunter Klande; five great grandchildren, Dakota Heitman, Lucy Heitman, Dominick Klande, Shelby Pepin and Luke Pepin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and one brother, Arno Voight
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend William Odermann officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.
