Darrell John Plank

Darrell Plank, 54, passed away unexpectedly at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Red Wing on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

Darrell was born on June 2, 1969 to John & Janet (Brunkhorst) Plank in Lake City, MN.  

Darrell was known as a big teddy bear with a sarcastic wit. He loved playing softball, beanbag game and darts. He was a big fan of the Vikings and the Twins. Darrell’s daughter meant the world to him.

Darrell is survived by his parents, John & Janet Plank; his daughter, Denver (Josh) Bremer of Lake City; sisters, Dawn (Larry) Luhmann, Amy Plank; his special friend, Heidi Klinnert; many nephews and a niece.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Plank; his nephew, Justin Luhmann; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 2 pm at the Valley View Assembly of God Church in Lake City. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the Church.  A Celebration will be held at the Lake City VFW after the service.
