David Francis Wiesner

David Francis Wiesner, 77, of Rochester passed away peacefully Monday morning July 11, 2022 at The Homestead in Rochester.

David was born August 8, 1944 to Wenzel and Viola (Strassburg) Wiesner in New Ulm, Minnesota. David graduated from New Ulm High School and went on to study Early childhood development and education at University of Minnesota, Morris where he met his wife. David was a career teacher in public education and spent much of his time after retirement in classrooms as a substitute teacher in the Rochester Public School District. He was the most loving and genuine husband, father, brother, grandpa, and friend. He loved his grandbabies and great-grandbabies and was very proud of all of his kids.

David is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Jill Wiesner; Jamie (Sabine) Wiesner of Mazeppa MN, Heather (Kelly) Zimmerman of Rochester MN, Chad (Alicia) Wiesner of Owatonna MN, Taylor (Brady) Wiesner of Rochester MN; Brother Doug (Linda Fierst) Wiesner of New Ulm; Sister-in-law Vernita Wiesner of New Ulm; and his beloved grandbabies, great grandbabies, and extended family. David was preceded in death by his parents; Brothers, Wenzel Wiesner & Bruce Wiesner; and sister-in-law, Bev Wiesner.
