Delores Frances Geiger

Delores “Dollie” Frances (Dahl) Geiger passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 12, 2025, at Elysian Fields in Red Wing. She was born on September 24, 1926, in Red Wing, Minnesota to Ernest and Frances (Anderson) Dahl. In her younger years, Delores worked at Woolworths’s, Spurgeon’s, and the Pottery art department in Red Wing. Delores married Robert R. Johnson in September of 1946 in Red Wing, they later divorced. They had three children together, Dale, Dean, and Ricky Johnson. Delores then married Anthony “Tony” Geiger on August 31, 1957, in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Tony died August 21, 1987. Later on, Delores had a special friend, Harvey Torvend, of Red Wing. She enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins play, reading, doing puzzles, and visiting with her friends and family.

She is survived by her sons, Dale R. Johnson and Dean D. Johnson of Red Wing, and Ricky A. (Katharine) Johnson of Lund, Wisconsin; step-daughters, Connie (Robert) Nelson and Judy Dille of Red Wing; sister, Gloria Tri; nephew, Jerry (Lisa) Tri; niece, Jacqueline (Phil) Padgitt; 7 grandchildren, Brian, Troy, Angie, Travis, Zachary, Zane, Zeke; great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as special friends Vickie and Pete Rekkedahl of Red Wing. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Frances Dahl; ex-husband, Robert Johnson; husband, Tony Geiger; nephew, Bruce Anderson; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Tri, Curt Dille, and Mike Larson; and her special friend, Harvey Torvend.

A Celebration of Delores’s Life will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 1-3pm at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. A private burial will take place at a later date.
