O Dennis Byron Larson, 76, of Red Wing, died Tuesday at his home. He was born on May 27, 1929 in Pepin, Wisconsin to Harry and Eleanore (Steien) Larson. He graduated from Red Wing Central High School. From 1946 to 1952 he worked at Jorgensen Chevolet. On June 21, 1950 he was married to Joanne Reitan and they later divorced He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from January 26, 1952 to January 25, 1954. After his discharge he worked as a service representative for General Motors in Fargo, Minneapolis, Saginaw, Michigan, retiring as Administrator of Technical Services in Detroit, Michigan in 1984. On November 29, 1991 he married Betty Molberg in Lonoke, Arkansas. They moved to Red Wing in January 1992. When he lived in Michigan he did volunteer work; he also enjoyed photography, going to car shows and auctions and traveling. Survivors include his wife, Betty, five children, Lori (Thomas) Rapp of Rochester Hills, Mich., Kevin (Melissa) Larson of Detroit, Mich., Sue (Jonel) Stingu of Troy, Mich., Scott (Nola) Larson of Louisville, Texas and Konnie (Mark) Behounek of Sterling Heights, Mich.; four step children; 16 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild; four sisters, Lavina (Charles) Diffee of Dallas, Texas, Vivian (Joseph) Hemphill of West Monroe, Louisana, Leona (George) Shanks and Doris (Terry) Carpenter all of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Wendell ?Ole? (Wanda) Larson of Dallas, Texas and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one son, Byron Larson. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Rev. Ron Stehr officiating. Burial will be in the Lund Covenant Cemetery near Lund, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2006 at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the services. Memorials are preferred.
