Dianne Ione (Culbert) Albers

July 10, 1937 — December 12, 2023

Red Wing

Dianne Ione Albers, 86, of Red Wing went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, December 12, at Saint Crispin Assisted Living Community. She was born July 10, 1937, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to Vincent and Doris Culbert.  She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1955.  Dianne moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota shortly after high school to work for AT&T as a telephone operator.  She married Richard Jensen, Sr. in 1957, whom she later divorced.  She moved to Red Wing in 1967 where she lived the rest of her life.  She was married to Donald Williamson from 1968 until his death in 1990.  She was married to Howard Albers from 1997 until his death in 2016.

Dianne worked in Red Wing in various jobs, most recently as a home health care associate for Lutheran Social Services and Riverview Services until her retirement.  She was loved and trusted by the residents of the homes where she worked.  She attended Red Wing Assembly of God Church, Cornerstone Community Church and most recently a home church fellowship.

Dianne was a committed Christian believer whose life exemplified her faith.  She was an ambassador for Christ and drew many people to Jesus, who was the center of her life.

Dianne loved to spend time with family, go on simple outings with them or just play a lot of euchre.  She also enjoyed traveling, including trips to Israel, Mexico, and the Philippines to visit her daughter-in-law’s family.  She enjoyed shopping for inexpensive items and could always find the best bargain.  She kept in good physical condition by walking up to three miles per day.  In her later years, she enjoyed walking in Bay Point Park and feeding the squirrels.  She was a friend to many, had a positive attitude, and always had a ready smile and a good word to share.  She was a "fun" Mom and Grandma who could always be counted on and was deeply loved by her family.

Dianne is survived by her younger brother Gary (Sandy) Culbert, residing in Seattle, Washington, her younger sister Janice Jarnigan residing in Arkansas, and her youngest sister, Crissor, two sons - Richard (Agustina) Jensen residing in Tampa, Florida and Scott (Rebecca) Jensen residing in Red Wing, Minnesota, two daughters - Renee (Paul) Anfinson residing in Northfield, Minnesota and Rhonda (Romualdo) Sanchez residing in Red Wing, Minnesota, two step-daughters, Gloria and Yvonne,  13 grandchildren - Zachary Jensen, Rachel Jensen, Mariah Lorentz, Keezia Jensen, Emmanuel Jensen, and Isaiah Jensen, Steven Jensen and Jessica Jensen, Alyssa Anfinson and Andrew Anfinson, Beck Sanchez, Yesenia Sanchez and August Sanchez, and great-grandchildren, Oliver, Sadie, William, Henry, and Paisley.
