Doris Borgschatz

Doris Arleen Borgschats, 94, of Kasson, died Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Prairie Meadows Senior Living in Kasson.

She was born July 17, 1931 in Roscoe, Minn. to Henry and Nettie (Nelson) Goplen. She attended Pine Island High School and on September 26, 1949 she was united in marriage to Walter Borgschatz. Together the couple raised two children. After her children were grown, Doris earned her GED.

Doris worked in quality control at Mapel Island, Inc. in Wanamingo for 19 years. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, dancing and doing a little shopping.

She is survived by her children, Ann Grossbach; son, Doug Brogschats; siblings, Joe Goplen and Ruby Miller.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter, 2 siblings, and her parents.
