Ejub Cenda

A Celebration of Life honoring Ejub Cenda will be held Tuesday June 18th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, 1624 - 37th Street NW, in Rochester. Interment of the urn will follow at 3:30 PM at Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Cenda, 71, of Rochester, died Thursday June 13, 2024 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester.

Ejub Cenda was born October 9, 1952 in Zenica, Bosnia and Hercegovnia to Husein and Devleta (Karic) Cenda. Raised in Zenica, he married Manda Knezevic on October 31, 1987. His grandchildren were his life's focus and he was a master in the creation of traditional Bosnian food, for which he felt a great passion. In addition to cooking, he enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife Manda Cenda of Rochester; two daughters Alisa (Ryan) Cenda-Schwartz of Jacksonville, Florida, and Melisa (Ryan) Vanderheiden of Rochester, Minnesota. He is further survived by his beloved grandchildren Mercedes, Levi, and Sienna Schwartz, Liam Vanderheiden, and a 5th grandchild whose arrival is soon expected into the Vanderheiden family. Also surviving is a brother Fadil (Sylvia) Cenda in Bosnia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
