Elaine Emma Fredrickson

Elaine Emma Fredrickson, age 93, of Zumbrota died Thursday, February 5, 2026 at her home. She was born December 27, 1932 in rural Goodhue to John and Emma (Borgschatz) Vieths. She attended country schools and eventually graduated from Goodhue High School in 1951. Elaine later met Clyde Fredrickson at a dance and the two eventually married on October 20, 1962 at Christ Lutheran Church. Clyde died January 26, 2013. Elaine worked as a telephone operator at the Zumbrota Telephone Co. for 25 years. Throughout her life she was constantly working not just one job but multiple. She continued working into her 80’s. She was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church. She enjoyed watching the Twins and Timberwolves, puzzles, and most of all being with her family.

She is survived by her children, Jill Plank of Zumbrota, Jason (Elizabeth) of Victoria, MN, Aaron of Mazeppa, and Sara Fredrickson of Zumbrota; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Adeline Schumann of Zumbrota; sister-in-law, Dolly Opsahl of Goodhue and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma; husband, Clyde; brother, Harlan; sister, Darline; infant sister, Laverle; sister-in-law, Elaine Vieths; brother-in-law, Marlowe Fredrickson.

Funeral services will take place 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 10 at Mahn Family Funeral Home – Larson Chapel in Zumbrota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
