Esther Peterson, 101, of Wanamingo, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024, at the Cannon Rivers Senior Living Facility. 

 Esther Victoria Erickson was born July 3, 1923, in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota to John and Elsie (Ackerman) Erickson. She graduated from Parkers Prairie High School. Esther was baptized, confirmed and married at the Esther Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie. She was united in marriage to Earl Peterson on April 8, 1950.

Esther lived a long and happy life. She was actively engaged with her family, her church and her community, which were always priorities for her. 

 Esther is survived by her children; Warren (Gary Nack) Peterson, Karen Peterson, Brian (Linda) Peterson, Bruce Peterson; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; her brother Glenn Erickson.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Earl; grandson, Aaron Peterson; siblings, Johnny Erickson, Raymond Erickson, Marvin Erickson, Arnold Erickson, Ernest Erickson, Elton Erickson, Victor Erickson, Evelyn Peterson, and Alice Decker.

 The memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wanamingo, with Pastor David Sorenson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff and residents at Cannon Rivers Senior Living for the great care and support they all provided.
