Evelyn "Evy" Wedde

Evelyn “Evy” Lorraine Wedde, 69, of Bay City, WI, died Thursday, August 15, 2024, at home. She was born April 5, 1955, in Northfield, Minnesota, to Joseph and Gladys (Forss) Berg. She graduated from Wanamingo High School in 1973 and later studied fashion merchandising at Red Wing Vo-Tech. On October 20, 1984, she married Peter Wedde, and they resided in Bay City. She worked at Minnesota State College Southeast for over 30 years as an administrative assistant. She was an active member of the Red Wing Lions Club, serving as Treasurer, and also a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Evy loved lilacs and enjoyed spending time visiting family, especially her sisters.

Evy is survived by her son, Kyle (Marie Fischer) Wedde; her sisters, Gloria (Ray) Poncelet, Shirley Jenson, Janet Kivi, Harriet (Gary) Peterson, Carol Berg, and Brenda (Ed) Hufford; along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Wedde; her parents; and her brothers, Anton “Tony,” Larry, and Kevin.

A celebration of Evy’s life will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the Leo C. Peterson American Legion Post #54. Funeral arrangements are by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
