Evelyn Smith

Evelyn Eileen Smith, 71, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at the Red Wing Health Center. She was born August 9, 1934 in Red Wing to Margaret and Edward Myers. She had worked as a cleaning lady at many places and retired from her cleaning position at the Dairy Queen. Until her Parkinson?s disease hampered her lifestyle, she had enjoyed animals, and going out for coffee and dinner. She is survived by one daughter, Susan Spivey of Illinois; two sisters, Arlene (Donald) Jennings of Red Wing and Lucille (Bill) Futrell of Red Wing and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Helen. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Father Bruce Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dan DeBauche, Cliff Wright, Bill Futrell and Bradley Roschen. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.
