Gerald Scott Swenson

Gerald Scott Swenson, 64, of Red Wing, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Mayo Clinic Health Systems - St Mary's Campus on April 25, 2026. He was born in Shakopee, Minn. on November 21, 1961 to George and Faith (Born) Swenson. Gerald was united in marriage to Lisa Smith on June 11, 1988 in Brooklyn Center, Minn. He worked at S.B. Foot for 36 years. Gerald enjoyed watching all Minnesota sports, going to classic car shows, playing bean bags, and most importantly, spending time with his family.

Gerald is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa; sons Josh, Tyler, and Colton (Maddie); grandchildren Sophia, Peyton, and Knox; siblings Linda (Warren), Larry, Terrie (Larry), Gordy (Carol) and Brian (Diane); siblings-in-law Jerry (Shana), Tammi, and Lesley (Rob); and his father-in-law Jerry Sr. and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law Cathy; and nephew Justin Fischer.
