Geraldine "Gerry" Swanson

Geraldine “Gerry” Catherine Swanson, age 92 of Red Wing, died Sunday, December 14, 2025 at the Benedictine Community Care Center in Red Wing. She was born April 15, 1933 in St. Paul to Joseph and Gladys (Miller) Lockman. She graduated from Harding High School in 1951 and then attended the Charles T. Miller School of Nursing for a year. On October 1, 1955 she married Richard Swanson and they later divorced. She worked as a nurse at Bethesda Hospital for 25 years, Miller hospital for 7 years, and St. Jospeh Hospital for 10 years. In 1995 she moved to Red Wing.

She is survived by her daughter Jo Erickson; son, Peter Swanson; grandchildren, Amanda (Jordan) Mackenzie and Samuel Erickson; sister, Darlene Brandt. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Greg Erickson; brother-in-law, Richard Brandt.
