Guy Jerome DeLeon, 66, of Red Wing died Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Lake City Care Center. Guy was born on May 5, 1959 to Arnold and Marian (Renkly) DeLeon in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Guy was united in marriage to Patti Lee Whitney on July 25th, 1981 in Blue Earth, Minnesota.
Guy owned and ran DeLeon Jewelers with his wife Patti. He loved visiting with all his clients and designing custom jewelry for them. He also was a private pilot and the former president of the Red Wing Airport. Guy was a member of the Goodhue County Sheriff's Posse and of the First United Methodist Church of Red Wing where he served on various committees over the years, including one on the woman's shelter. He loved fishing, hunting, biking, skiing and especially the bluffs and the Mississippi. Guy also loved his convertible rides around Lake Pepin with Patti.
Guy is survived by his loving wife, Patti; son, Drew (Tawny) DeLeon; daughter, Ashton (Jason) Zins; grandchildren, Lily Deleon, Zoe and Edmund Zins, and Adalyn and Sophia DeLeon; his siblings, Julie (Craig) Thompson, Jay DeLeon, and Troy (Diane) DeLeon; three sisters-in-law and their families; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Justin Jerome DeLeon; brother, Thane DeLeon; parents, Arnold and Marian DeLeon; and his parents-in-law, Wayne and Helen Whitney.
Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 at First United Methodist Church of Red Wing with Reverend Julie Kocher and Reverend Wayne Walther officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Arrangements were entrusted to Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
