Harvey Charles Halpaus

Harvey Charles Halpaus, Sr., 102, of Red Wing, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Benedictine Living Community in Red Wing.  He was born on August 25, 1921, the fifth child of Nicholas and Alice (Esping) Halpaus, in Lake City. Harvey proudly served with the United States Merchant Marines during World War II. Harvey is survived by his son, Harvey Jr. (Carol); 4 grandsons, Eric, Adrian, Adam and Arin.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Bernice, his parents, Nicholas and Alice; brothers, Howard, Harlan, Donald; sisters, Harriet and Hazel and an infant daughter also preceded him in death.  A private family service will be held and burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery with military honors.  Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
