Helen Grace Wiech

Helen Grace Wiech, 86, of Lake City, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026 at the Elysian Fields of Lake City.

Helen was born on December 6, 1939 to Harry & Esther Roberts Sr. in Lake City, MN. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957. Helen then attended Vocation School in Red Wing for Secretary. Helen married James Wiech on May 29, 1971 in Watertown, SD. She worked as a waitress in the Lake City Area. Helen enjoyed bird watching, horses and a relaxing walk in nature. She loved traveling with her husband Jim.

She is survived by her sons, Lyle (Beth) Jacobsen of Wabasha, Darin (Angel) Jacobsen of Red Wing; daughter-in-law, Twila Jacobsen; step-children, Deborah (Dean) West of Minneapolis, Jeff Eyrich of Lake City, MN., Jay (Debie) Eyrich of Florida; Melissa Lagergren, Erin Fiedler, Quinn Jacobsen, Miranda Jacobsen – Wallerich, 16 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Wiech; her son, Mark Jacobsen; Granddaughter Emily Jacobsen; sister, Judy Plank; brother Harry Roberts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 4 to 6 pm, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson – Peterson Chapel in Lake City. A Private Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing. On-line Condolences may be placed at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
