Howard Norman Myran, 83, of Wanamingo, died Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Three Links Care Center in Northfield. He was born June 27, 1942, in Faribault, to Melvin and Rachael (Hoseth) Myran. He grew up in Wanamingo and graduated from Wanamingo High School in 1960. On April 24, 1965, he married Jurene Johnson at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mineola and they made their home in the Wanamingo area. Howard worked for Syverson Hardware as a TV repairman and then began working for the Maple Island Creamery until his retirement. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota. Howard was always friendly and enjoyed visiting with others, as well as listening to the radio and reading the Bible.
He is survived by his son, John Myran of Faribault; daughter, Kathy Myran of Wanamingo and 4 grandsons, Zachary (Kaylee), Jacob(Tori), Caleb and Matthew Myran and a great-grandson, Asher Myran. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jurene; brother, Richard Myran and sisters, Colleen Hegseth, Beverly Bakken and Lynda Underdahl.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Todd Engel officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service and burial will take place at the Zumbrota Cemetery. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Larson Chapel.
