James "Jim" Scott Halverson

James “Jim” Scott Halverson, 60, of Red Wing, MN, died Friday, August 7, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.

He was born April 3, 1966, in Red Wing, MN, to Gordon Halverson and Lucy (Marshall) Jacobsen.

Jim loved fishing, music, his friends (special shoutout to his best friend, Justin Ohde), and his family… life itself! It was all important to him. He will be greatly missed.

Jim is survived by his sisters, Maryann (Michel) Wedde and Jennifer Maxwell; brother, Jeff Halverson; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lucy Jacobsen and Gordon Halverson; and sister, Kathleen Arendt.

A private family service will take place at a later date.
