Jaydon Michael Neuffer, age 14, passed away unexpectedly on January 10th 2023 at his home in Red Wing.
Jaydon was born July 3, 2008 in Red Wing to Trent and Tara (Pederson) Neuffer. He was baptized and confirmed on July 10, 2016, as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
His hobbies included: watching football (his favorite team was the Kansas City Chiefs and, of course, his favorite player was Patrick Mahomes), Tae Kwan Do, fishing, camping, going to the farm with Grandpa Denny, making YouTube videos with his dad, watching true crime documentaries, and thunderstorms with his mom. He also loved biking, hover boarding, building go-carts, building audio speakers, customizing his own computers from parts, having game days with friends, and collecting fireflies in a jar.
HE WAS A CUBE MASTER! He could solve the most challenging Rubik’s cube.
He loved all animals, especially our two dogs, Benny and Winston. Jaydon was also what could be called a “bird whisperer”. He could walk up to a bird feeder, holdout his hand, and the birds would land on it.
Jaydon was always the first to help when people needed service. He volunteered countless times to help someone move, shovel snow from a driveway, and mow lawns.
He was a talented, self-taught pianist and enjoyed composing his own music. Every time he walked by a piano, he had to play it. He also enjoyed playing saxophone.
His first job was working at China Royal where they took him in as family. His favorite food, by the way, was General Tso’s Chicken. Surprisingly enough, he didn’t like Chinese food prior to working there.
Jaydon will be remembered for his bright, contagious smile that would always light up a room. He was a smart young man with a magnetic, charming and witty personality.
His is survived by his parents; Trent and Tara Neuffer; paternal grandpa, Gregory Neuffer; paternal grandma, Nancy Cromwell; and maternal grandparents, Dennis and Deborah Pederson; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and great-grandparents.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 580 Hi Park Ave, Red Wing, with visitation two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Jaydon's service will be live streamed on the Mahn Family Funeral Home Facebook page. Please visit the facebook page on the day of the service.
