Funeral services for Jeffrey Hayes will be held Wednesday February 8th at 2:00 PM at Rochester Church of Christ, with Stacy Sikes and Bryan Whitehead ministering. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester. Mr. Hayes, 60, of Rochester, died Thursday February 2, 2012 at his home in Rochester.
Jeffrey Hayes was born January 4, 1952 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Floyd and June Hayes. At the age of three, his father died, and Jeffrey was raised by his mother and stepfather. At the age of eighteen, he enlisted in the Army, where he was a computer technician for guided missiles, and was stationed in Korea for most of his active duty time. Returning home, he worked in construction, and has resided in Rochester for the past eight years. He was a member of the Rochester Church of Christ.
He is survived by two sisters, Kim Hayes, and Kelli (Eric) Williams; and a brother, Jesse Hayes. Also surviving is his special friend, Peggy McCarty.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather.
Visitation, with no reviewal, will be one hour prior to services at the church.
