Red Wing

Jeffrey Edward Pierce of Red Wing, Minnesota, passed away on September 11, 2025. Born on June 26, 1959, in Kingsley, Michigan, Jeffrey lived a life rooted in being a hard worker, girl dad and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.

Jeffrey graduated from Kingsley High School in 1977, and then began a lifelong career in truck driving. Later he pursued his passion for working with horses and obtained his farrier certification from Michigan Horseshoeing Institute as well.

Jeffrey will be remembered by his sisters Janet (Frank) Beaubien and Judith Rice. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his mother Marinetta (Lardie) Pierce, father Jerry Pierce, and sister Julie Pierce.

Jeffrey was a devoted father to his three daughters; Cailyn (Robby) Crain, Taylor (Carey) Schaub, and Baylee (Brandon) Makowski. He cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in being their Dad. His granddaughter Keegan Schaub brought him immense joy, as did his time spent with his beloved "fur grandchildren."

Jeffrey had a great sense of humor that captivated those around him. He was most happy outdoors on his John Deere tractors building sledding hills and ice rinks during the winter or snowshoeing and riding snowmobiles. He enjoyed hunting and found fulfillment in tending to his garden and spending time with horses. He loved learning about freighters and trains, watching Bald Eagles fly and spending Friday and Saturday nights watching dirt track races.

He passed down his love and passion for the outdoors, animals, racing and listening to his idol, Bob Seger to his daughters who will continue enjoying those things in his memory, and will be treasured forever.

Above all else, he loved his three girls.
