Jeremiah “Jerry” Joseph Sullivan, 89, of Pierce County, Wisc. passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems St. Mary’s Campus. He was born May 10, 1936, in Fort Rice, North Dakota, to Michael and Emma (Burns) Sullivan. Jerry joined the Army in 1955 at 17 and served until 1957, when he was honorably discharged. After being discharged Jerry met his soon-to-be wife, June Fandrich, and on July 27, 1959, they were united in marriage in Bismark, North Dakota. The two started their family in Hazen, North Dakota before moving to Pierce County, Wisc in 1966. While in Pierce County Jerry started his own roofing business, Sullivan Roofing, which he proudly owned and operated for over 65 years. In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Family meant a lot to him, and his favorite thing was being a loving grandpa, great-grandpa, and great-great grandpa. He will be dearly missed by his family.
Jerry is survived by his children, James (Debbie) of Red Wing, Jeffrey of Bay City, Jerry Jr. (Diana) of Garden City, GA, John (Carissa) of Bay City, Jesse of Red Wing, Patrick of Bay City, and Jackie (Randy) Alms of Red Wing; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Michael (Annette) Sullivan of Menomonie, Wisc.; and sister, Emma Fedie of Baldwin, Wisc.
Jerry is preceded in death by his beloved wife, June; his parents; sons, Kevin and Keith Sullivan; granddaughter, Ashley; great-grandson Nicholas; brothers, Larry (Mary) Burns, Patrick (Marlene) Sullivan; and sisters, Winnie (Adolf) Kopp, Bridget (Ted) Flemer, and Judy (Kenny) Heck.
A Celebration of Life for Jerry will be held at the Leo C. Peterson American Legion Post #54 on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 5 p.m. He will be buried at Svea Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements by Mahn Family Funeral Home.
