Joan Marlene Greenfield, 91, of Red Wing, died Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Preferred Senior Living in Ellsworth. She was born on May 7, 1934, in Mason City, Iowa to Joseph and Marion (Lund) Tuseth. In 1958, she was united in marriage to James Greenfield. They lived in Northfield for two years before moving to Red Wing in 1970. She and Jim later divorced. Joan worked at Jostens for many years and then worked as a dental assistant for Health Centered Dentistry in Ellsworth. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Joan enjoyed getting together with her friends for coffee at McDonalds over the years, but most of all she looked forward being with her family and help taking care of the grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Polly (James) Dettling; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Vicki) Schott, Heather (Daniel) Selisky and Gregory (Holly) Domke; seven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Victoria Greenfield and Linda Schott; son-in-law, Jeff Schott and her former husband, James.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2025, at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Red Wing.
