JoAnne Margaret (Prigge) Cluth

JoAnne Margaret Cluth, 57, of Zumbrota, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at home, on Thursday, January 18, 2024. She was born in St. Cloud on September 22, 1966, to Lloyd and Geraldine (Almquist) Prigge. She graduated from Sartell High School in the Class of 1985. She attended college for one year at Bethel University. She was united in marriage to Patrick Cluth in 1986 at her parents’ home in Rice, MN. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Bremerton, WA, where Pat was stationed in the military. With Pat’s military service they lived in various different places. From Washington, they then moved to Oakland, CA, and then back to Minnesota in 1990, living in Rosemount until 1997. From Rosemount, they moved to Kenyon and lived there for ten years. In 2007, they entered the Mission Field and moved to Vienna, Austria for three years. In 2010, they settled in Zumbrota, where they have resided since. JoAnne was a talented seamstress and worked as the treasurer at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Zumbrota. She was most proud of being a mother and a homemaker for her family. She was selfless, kindhearted, generous, and brought joy to everyone she met. She never shied away from helping anyone.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Pat Cluth; four children, Megan (Joe) Cluth; Kirya (Hugo) Cruz, Cate (Linnea and Bryan Eggler) McConaughey, and Jason (Ann Marie) Cluth; grandchildren, Will, Antonio, Ethan, Rosalinda, Yasmin, Elnora, Aerallyn, Celeste, Zayden, Nolan, Declan, Arlan; mother, Geri “Tootsie” Prigge; brothers, Brian (Celia), Rick (Yvette), and Patrick (Chrissy); and sisters, Katie (Greg), Carla (Carl), and Tami; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Prigge and father-in-law, Jack Cluth.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at the Zumbrota Cemetery. Arrangements made by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Larson Chapel in Zumbrota.
