In Loving Memory of JoAnne "Josie" Lindstrom

JoAnne "Josie" Lindstrom, of Diamond Bluff, Wisconsin, peacefully entered into eternal life on August 11, 2026, after a courageous journey with gastric cancer. Throughout her journey, Josie faced every challenge with remarkable strength, unwavering faith, and a beautiful smile that never seemed to fade. She inspired everyone around her with her grace, positivity, and determination, leaving an unforgettable mark on all who were blessed to know her.

Born on December 25, 1945, to Harry and Joyce Most, Josie was truly a Christmas blessing to her family and to the countless lives she touched throughout her years. She graduated from Prescott High School in 1964. She lived a life defined by selfless love, kindness, generosity, and compassion. Her greatest joy was her family. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to being a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and proud Gigi.

For almost 60 years, Josie shared a beautiful marriage with the love of her life, her husband Mike, whose unwavering devotion was a testament to the love they built together. Their marriage was an example of commitment, friendship, and unconditional love that inspired generations.

In addition to caring for her family, Josie dedicated 34 years of service at the Red Wing Clinic. She welcomed patients with the same warmth, kindness, and reassuring smile that defined every aspect of her life. To countless patients and coworkers, she was more than the friendly face behind the desk. She was a source of comfort, compassion, and genuine care. She built lasting friendships throughout her career and left a positive impact on everyone who walked through the doors.

Josie is lovingly survived by her devoted husband Mike; her brothers, Gary Most and Greg Most; her daughters, Michelle (Kyle) Mitchell, Carrie (Theron Flom) Lindstrom, Sara (Richard) Eads; bonus daughter, Mette (Frank) Mathiesen; her beloved grandchildren, Britney (Derrick) Mitchell-Swanson, Austin (Alexa Somerville) Hines, Kasey (Kurt Henning) Mitchell-Larson, Madeline (Hunter Olson) Eads, and Ethan Eads; her bonus granddaughter, Alberte Mathiesen; and her treasured 14 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Joyce (Andrews) Most; in-laws, John and Bonnie (Nelson) Lindstrom; and beloved niece, Anne (Lindstrom) Siebenaler.

To know Josie was to experience genuine kindness. She had a remarkable ability to make every person feel seen, welcomed, and loved. Whether through a warm smile, a comforting hug, words of encouragement, or simply listening with an open heart, she made everyone feel like family. Her home was a place of love, laughter, and togetherness, where memories were made and traditions were cherished.

Even during her journey with cancer, Josie remained a positive source of hope and encouragement. She chose gratitude over fear, hope over despair, and love above all else. Her courage inspired not only her family but also friends, caregivers, and everyone privileged to walk beside her. She taught those around her that strength is found not only in fighting but in loving deeply, giving generously, and finding joy in each day.

Although her family grieves the tremendous loss of an extraordinary woman, they find comfort knowing that her love lives on in the lives she shaped, the morals and values she instilled, and the memories she created. Her legacy is one of faith, perseverance, compassion, and unconditional love, a legacy that will continue for generations.

Josie leaves behind hearts forever changed by her kindness and a family forever grateful to have called her wife, Mom, Grandma, Gigi, sister, and friend. While words cannot measure the depth of her impact, those who loved her know that the world is a better place because she was in it.

Her smile, hugs and laughter will be missed. But most of all, her boundless love will live on in every life she touched.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Zion Covenant Church, Ellsworth. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2026 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Ellsworth Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church. A livestream of the service will be available and a link will be posted prior to the service.
