Joanne Kollasch

Joanne A. Kollasch, age 90, of Pine Island, passed away on March 28, 2024, at Seasons Hospice.  

She was born on May 21, 1933, in West Concord to George and Laura Bennerotte.

On July 18, 1950 she married Gerald Kollasch.

Joanne worked various jobs over the years while raising her large family. She enjoyed baking, fishing at the lake, visiting with her grandchildren and watching Minnesota sports teams (Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, and Gophers). She was a member of the P.I. American Legion Auxiliary and St.Michaels Catholic Church.

Joanne is survived by her children, Judy (Rick) Bell, Nancy (Rich) Almli, Mary Kollasch, Karen (Russ) Meier, Diane (Bill) Borgschatz, Steve (Angela) Kollasch, Laurie (Andy) Brownell and Larry (Denise) Kollasch; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great -great grandchild; her brother, Robert (Norma) Bennerotte; sister, Linda Hindal; and sister-in-law, Janet Bauch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; parents, George and Laura; and her brother Russell Bennerotte.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday April 4, 2024, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Pine Island with visitation one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. with internment to follow at the Pine Island Cemetery.
